About Taylor Hospital

A Magnet-designated hospital that is a recognized health care leader serving the area since 1977. It offers specialty services that include 24-hour emergency care, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, a pain management clinic, orthopedic surgery, an inpatient rehabilitation facility and full-service radiology, including advanced CT with cardiac scoring, fixed MRI including pacemaker, cinema vision and ultrasound (MSK and elastography).

This RN Supervisor supports the nursing resource pool at Taylor Hospital providing an opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of staff from RNs, NAs, and Sitters within different units throughout the hospital.

Scope of work

The Nurse Supervisor coordinates and organizes personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization, in a cost-effective manner. Collaborates to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments. The Nurse Supervisor represents the organizational leadership across all venues on 24-hour basis and collaborates to make decisions an act on behalf of the leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN) Preferred.
  • Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
  • One year of relevant formal nursing leadership experience required for external applicants Required.
  • One year of relevant demonstrated informal leadership experience required for internal applicants, may include but are not limited to: Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership on behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
