As a successful candidate, you will:

City of Hope is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Director of Asset Management to join our Enterprise Technology Group. The Director of Asset Management will be responsible for managing daily administration, quality, and performance of the comprehensive asset/lifecycle/operations management platform. The Director will be the accountable leader for the successful implementation of all components and phases of the technology lifecycle management program with direct oversight of personnel (both COH and external vendors, project plans, timelines, project team implementation activities, budget, and relationships necessary to build consensus and adoption. The Director will be the relationship lead regarding interaction with technology personnel and operational leadership and will be expected to proficiently communicate with all COH executives. The Director is expected to have, obtain and maintain expert knowledge about the TLM products and their potential impact on operations and adoption.

Duties & Responsibilities

Subject Matter Collaboration & Decision Making: Manages relationships and consults with stakeholders and direct team to build consensus and decisions on implementation questions and issues that arise as part of the implementation activities. Troubleshoots and resolves problems (or orchestrates the resolution) on an ongoing basis as they relate to execution of project objectives. Provides primary project evaluation and project reporting.

Planning: Always prepared for the future and anticipates problems. Ensures that project designs are efficient and meet the future operational needs of COH. Makes project assignments, monitors workloads and allocates resources to meet project requirements. Frequently reassesses project scope to ensure projects are carried out according to established plan and budget. Monitors activity schedules, changes to schedules, their causes and budget impact.

Project Management: Assisted by the PMO, manages project tasks, completion requirements, and budgets. The TLM program will have a defined work plan with resource requirements, timelines for intermediate and final deliverables and a fixed budget. Manages the program through the successful completion of the defined work plan. Represents the City of Hope in execution of the assigned projects. Monitors and recommends adjustments and/or improvements to projects. Provides direction and leadership and decision-making to staff on all TLM related projects. Meets regularly to review project activities, consultant performance and management strategies. Assists with solving project-related, operational and technical problems as needed. Manages the TLM project tasks so that the project milestones, intermediate deadlines and operationally efficient decisions are made on time and on budget.

Communication: Clear, accurate and timely communications. Communicates project status and facilitates communication between all parties involved on the project including COH executives. Maintains a positive and constructive teamwork environment across all the project constituents.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or healthcare field required
  • 8 years of related functional experience
  • 5 years of experience in leadership
  • Project management experience in a dynamic, healthcare environment. Large information system project implementation experience in a healthcare setting. ServiceNow product experience is strongly preferred.
  • 8 or more years' proven experience managing multiple projects and programs.
