Job Description

Post-Doctoral Scholar in the Department of Pathology to pursue specialized laboratory-based translational research on cancer biology and experimental therapy.

We use techniques such as spatial biology, single-cell RNAseq Multiplex, etc and animal (mice) models such as humanized mice, PDX models and other models simulating human patients.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and conducts research on cancer biology and therapy; designs, conducts, and collects and analyzes research data

  • Participates in journal clubs, laboratory meetings, and Center activities; assists with training of graduate students

  • Writes research papers for publication; presents research findings at local, national, or international scientific meetings; assists with writing and submitting grant proposals to obtain extramural funding in support of research

  • Presents research findings at local, national or international meetings

  • Assists with training of graduate students

  • Participates in journal clubs and laboratory meetings

We do not use nanotechnology, computer designing, PK/PD and drug delivery experiments for our studies.

Minimum Education Required

A highly motivated fresh Ph.D. or 1-2 year post-Ph.D. experience with publications in respected journals.

Qualifications

Experience in multicolor flow cytometry, including analysis of the results, molecular techniques, studying tumor biology and metastasis, orthotopic tumor implantation and immunohistochemistry. Experience in Bioinformatics is desirable.
