An Electro-mechanical Technician III job is available with a service client in Assonet, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on ASRS machines. You will act as a senior material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at a specific site location. You will provide assistance and mentor lower-level employees.
This role will be working from 6:00pm - 6:00am, Wednesday - Saturday. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Repair and maintenance of MHE including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.
* Completes preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
* Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
* Create and close work orders into asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
* Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
* Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
* Performs complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
* Provide assistance with training customers to operate equipment.
* Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
* Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organizations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* HS diploma or equivalent required. Typically an Associate degree or vocational technical training preferred.
* Knowledge of ASRS machines.
* Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
* Experience with ASRS machine (automated storage and retrieval systems)
* Demonstrate general knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for managed work group(s) and understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action
* Possess 3 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities when working on ASRS machines
* Experience with Allen-Bradley or equivalent PLC controls platforms, DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, Ethernet, or equivalent network communications platform, electrical troubleshooting skills to include wiring, ac power, ac motors, electrical drawings/schematics , control panels, and Servo Drives, PC controllers, dc power supplies, optical devices (i.e.,encoders, photoeyes, etc.)
* Knowledge of automated equipment; preferably automated material handling systems, Mechanical experience, Lean Principles (4-Step Problem Solve, Kaizen, 5S, etc.) and Microsoft Office
* Able to evaluate and analyze system/equipment performance data, perform root cause analysis, and manage resolution of design-performance issues
* Able to create reports and communication materials to track and report performance issues.
* Demonstrate continuous improvement of maintenance and operations of MHE to the customer.
