The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with the daily transportation support of the Wellsburg facility including organizing and processing shipping orders, invoicing orders, routing shipments, scheduling carriers, and entering shipping information. This position has a high degree of interaction with employees in Corporate Customer Service, Traffic and Purchasing, Warehouse, and MIS departments. This position also has a high degree of interaction with the transportation companies daily.

What You'll Do at Justrite:



  • Work safely and comply with all Safety and Company policies.
  • Receive, organize and enter shipping orders in software program and mainframe network. This includes ensuring all documentation for shipments is in order including proforma invoices, commercial invoices, certificate of origin, and NAFTA.
  • Schedules pick-up of freight and notify carrier of pick-up date.
  • Compiles shipping information for shipping log/late order tracking.
  • Enter freight data into 3rd party vendor system to obtain routing for pre-paid and pr-paid and add order.
  • Obtains freight quotes via our 3rd party freight vendor as needed for shipments while ensuring customer specific requirements are met.
  • Use vendor portal websites to route orders following customer specific requirements. i.e. Grainger and Amazon
  • Schedules containers and prepare all necessary documents for international shipments.
  • Maintains and updated routing guides.
  • Traces any shipments at request of Customer Service Department.
  • Provides information related to orders, changes, and status of delivery to management, corporate customer services, etc.
  • Provides tracking information for customer service regarding status of shipments.
  • Filed and retrieves processed orders.
  • Maintain records and files related to your own work. Organizes records and efforts to assure timely accomplishment of tasks.


Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:



  • High school graduate or equivalent.


  • Two years shipping experience preferred.


  • Knowledge of international and domestic shipping requirements & regulations.


  • Must be computer literate, preferably experienced in Excel and Access.


  • Ability to organize, set priorities, meet deadlines and perform multi-tasks.
  • This job uses a telephone, computer, calculator, postage meter, phone, fax machine, copier and scanner.

Compensation:

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.00/hour.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
