Inova Accounting is looking for a dedicated Financial Reporting Accountant I to join the Team. This remote role will be a full-time day-shift from Monday - Friday.

The Financial Reporting Accountant 1 works with the organization's various departments to ensure timely reporting deliverables. Assists in the preparation of various internal and external financial statements and reports.

Financial Reporting Accountant I Job Responsibilities:



  • Assists with the preparation of timely financial statements that are representative of the organization's results.
  • Prepares efficient and effective spreadsheets.
  • Prepares accurate and complete journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles to create and update financial statements.
  • Coordinates with various departments to ensure timely reporting of the organization's results.
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies timely and appropriately.
  • Effectively navigates computerized general ledger system to assist with research.
  • Utilizes effective communication ensuring congruence amongst the team.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR HS Diploma/GED and 4 additional years of experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.


This position is eligible for remote work for candidates residing in the following states - VA, MD, DC, DE, FL, GA, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, WV.
