At the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL), we take pride in and highly value our employees. The Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Our division is a key component of national security, providing technological solutions and expert mission support. We are seeking a mid-level Technician to join our satellite assembly, integration, and test team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs mechanical integration and test activities
  • Interfaces with other disciplines (QA, machine shop, contamination control, etc.) to deliver spaceflight hardware on schedule
  • Works occasional evening and weekend shifts when required by certain testing

Required Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Ability to assemble and test small, intricate mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to see projects through from start to finish
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and detail oriented
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to identify and work through problems that may arise
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work with other team members for completion of required tasks
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Desired Experience:
  • Applicable higher education or technical training
  • Ability to support electrical integration and test activities as needed
  • Experience working in a cleanroom or with minimizing contamination during assembly
  • Experience with environmental testing including TVAC and vibration testing
  • Implementation of quality processes
*Salary Range
  • Salary commensurate based on education and relevant experience
    • Level I:
      • $38,500-$50,000
      • 0-5 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma, or 0-4 years of relevant experience and relevant certification, or 0-3 years of relevant experience and an associate's degree
    • Level II:
      • $48,500-$60,000
      • 5-10 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma, or 4-9 years of relevant experience and relevant certification, or 3-8 years of relevant experience and an associate's degree
    • Level III:
      • $59,500-$85,000
      • 10+ years of relevant experience and a high school diploma, or 9+ years of relevant experience and relevant certification, or 8+ years of relevant experience and an associate's degree
