Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Data Governance Management Lead to join our Data Governance team. This role is pivotal in implementing and maintaining our master data management and data governance processes for MiTek. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach to ensure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of master data while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve potential data issues. They will also focus on managing data governance processes, implementing best practices, and maintaining high-quality data standards.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:


  • Data Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and validation of material, vendor and customer master data. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all systems. Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements for data management. Collaborate with other departments to enhance data governance tools and systems. Monitor and report on data quality metrics and KPIs.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer service, finance, procurement, production, inventory management, and other departments to understand data requirements. Provide training and support to users on data governance processes and tools. Facilitate cross-functional meetings to address data-related issues and initiatives.

  • Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data governance. Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information. Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.

  • Project Management: Lead and participate in data governance projects and initiatives. Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables for data-related projects. Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality or data architecture.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and MDG (Master Data Governance) tools.


Skills:


  • Must be self-motivated, team oriented and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Candidate should possess strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to problem solve.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data (metrics) to improve the delivery and support master data management to the business.

  • Knowledge of data governance best practices and industry standards.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools, Microsoft Purview).


Physical Demands:

This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
