Minimum Qualifications:
|
The Department of Biology within the School of Science invites applications for the position of Part-Time Faculty, Biology for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Department is specifically searching for qualified individuals to teach General Biology I, a course that covers the scientific method, the chemical and cellular basis of life, energy transformation, DNA structure and replication, protein synthesis, cell division, and General Biology II - a course that covers the scientific method, transmission genetics, basic evolutionary theory, and ecological relationships. This class requires instructors to teach and in-person one lecture section (two 75-minute meetings per week) and one associated lab section (one 165-minute meeting per week). The successful candidate will join a department characterized by a strong sense of community in which students are the central focus and faculty who are both accessible and approachable.

Essential Functions:
|
Effectively teach on-the-ground General Biology I and/or II, Topics in Biology or other non-majors biology course(s) to help achieve departmentally-determined student learning outcomes.
