Your Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced

As a Project Geologist, in Columbia, South Carolina, you will manage the full lifecycle of project execution, which includes coordinating with clients, drafting work plans and proposals, organizing project timelines and monitoring deadlines, assessing budgets, performing analyses, and compiling reports.

What You'll Do:

• Field and Office Project Assistance: Support both field and office tasks related to hydrogeologic studies, environmental assessments and sampling, geotechnical evaluations, and general project support.
  
  
  
  • Field responsibilities may include conducting soil borings, installing monitoring wells, identifying soil and rock types, performing in-situ permeability tests, and collecting soil, groundwater, and gas samples for lab analysis.
  • Office duties will involve creating data tables, visually presenting findings, comparing environmental data to applicable state and federal regulations, and drafting technical reports.
  
  
  
  
• Inspection and Communication: Conduct environmental and construction inspections and coordinate with vendors, as well as internal teams and external clients, to ensure project alignment and quality.
• Staff Mentorship and Support: Provide guidance or training to junior team members in collecting field data and conducting field observations.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or a closely related technical field
• Minimum of 3 years of Geology experience
• GIT or Professional Geologist (PG) or ability to obtain with minimum of one year experience
• Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language

What to Expect:

• With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions
• Walking over rough terrain and standing for long periods (up to 12 hours)
• Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of materials and equipment
• Safely handling field tools and maneuvering equipment on active construction sites
