 Safety Compliance Coordinator LOCATION: White Sands, New Mexico JOB STATUS: Full-time CLEARANCE: Secret (Active) CERTIFICATION: OSHA TRAVEL: Estimated Up to 20% Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Safety Compliance Coordinator to support the Army Division on the WSMR Mission Support Services program. The Safety Compliance Coordinator is responsible for advising on, managing, and performing administrative or program work related to environmental protection and workplace safety. This includes ensuring compliance with environmental laws, overseeing contractor safety programs, conducting inspections, and leading training efforts across multiple locations. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS 
 Education: 
  
   Associate's Degree and 3+ years of progressive experience in safety/environmental compliance.Candidates without a degree and who possess 5+ years of progressive experience in the specialty field will also be considered.Certifications:
  
    Training in safety/environmental courses, seminars, or certifications
    
     i.e. OSHA 10 and 30 General and Construction, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).Experience:
  
   Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both government and contract personnelCapable of delivering presentations and training sessions to groupsIn-depth knowledge of:
    
     OSHA regulationsState and federal environmental and safety requirementsWhite Sands Missile Range and Holloman AFB protocolsValid driver's licenseSecurity Clearance: 
  
   Must possess active Secret clearance. RESPONSIBILITIES 
 Environmental Compliance Oversight:
  
   Ensure contractor adherence to environmental regulationsManage Satellite Accumulation Points (SAPs)Oversee MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) control for all materialsEnforce proper handling and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols for hazardous materialsLicensing & Documentation:
  
   Ensure all licenses, permits, certificates, and related approvals are obtained and up to dateMaintain thorough records of all required documentationRisk Assessment & Recordkeeping:
  
   Conduct and document risk assessmentsEstablish and maintain operational records and filing systemsSite Inspections & Monitoring:
  
   Inspect facilities, work areas, and equipment regularlyMonitor site conditions, practices, and procedures for compliance with health and safety regulationsIdentify hazards and implement corrective actions, verifying follow-throughTraining & Workforce Support:
  
   Provide safety training on various topics to all personnelSupport supervisors in accident investigations and recurrence preventionManage accident case files and participate in investigation processesTravel Requirements:
