Here is how the Unit Development Analyst role will impact our business: The UD Analyst will provide continual support in maintaining goodwill through positive interaction with lessors, royalty owners and working interest participants. You will also be responsible for maintaining professional and productive relationships with internal company personnel and departments. The Unit Development Analyst I responsibilities include but arenot limited to:
- Assist with maintenance of Company Divisions of Interest, including but not limited to: transfers of interest, review of owner relations cases, estate transfers, answering landowner inquiries, suspense & paycode maintenance, escheat issues, and other changes in Quorum Division Order.
- Review Accounting information alongside Division Order data while assisting landowner's with their questions or requests
- Calculate Net Revenue Interests and Working Interest
- Read/analyze leases, deeds, estate documentation, JOAs and legal documentation
- Work with other facets of the Land Department including Title Attorneys, Landmen, and Land Administration professionals as part of maintaining Company Divisions of Interest
- Advise UD Director and UD Managers on issues related to maintaining Company Divisions of Interest
- Maintain internal/SOX compliance through performance of controls associated with land related business processes.
- Assist accounting with Prior Period Adjustments
- Investigate and assist with Unit/Division Order related Salesforce cases
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 4+ years related Division Order/Unit Development experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Associates Degree or equivalent years of industry experience
- Strong Math skills
- Proficiency in MS office- in particular Excel
- Good Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Able to prioritize work across multiple shifting priorities
- Experience with division order calculations and understanding oil and gas title
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of the tools of the trade - i.e. reviewing title opinions and memoranda, Division of Interest calculation spreadsheets, deeds/instruments of conveyance, oil and gas lease interpretation, Declarations of Pooling and Unitization, etc....
- Knowledge of oil and gas leasehold and mineral rights
- Understanding of Estate laws and associated legal documents
- Excellent research, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail
- Quorum Division Order knowledge and experience is required
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or JD preferred
- Salesforce knowledge preferred
- Work history and knowledge of issues impacting Division Order Maintenance in Appalachia (particularly WV, OH, and PA) is preferred
- SQL experience preferred
- Advanced experience calculating and/or maintaining challenging divisions of interest preferred
- Advanced Title and lease analysis experience preferred
- Advanced Excel Skills preferred
Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.
