Position

This role will be critical in ensuring data accuracy, delivering actionable insights, and optimizing business processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cost accounting principles, experience in ERP systems, and the ability to drive process improvement.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain cost standards and general ledger controls.
  • Support month-end close and variance analysis activities related to inventory and product cost.
  • Conduct routine reviews of ERP cost workflows, process gaps, and risk assessments.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and cost controls.
  • Support ERP enhancements and serve as a liaison between accounting, IT/ERP teams, and cross-functional leaders.
  • Provide training and maintain documentation on finance processes and best practices.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Support ad-hoc and data requests.

Tasks

  • Financial Planning & Analysis - prepares and communicates business analysis (i.e., revenue, expense budgeting, forecasting, daily and weekly operational reporting, monthly department results, variance analysis, rates and pricing analysis).
  • Data Analysis - Excel power user (advanced lookup and if statement), automation in modeling experience required.
  • Previous experience with ERP software required.
  • Communicate effectively and can build and present findings to Senior Management.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements ideas and projects that will result in improved efficiency, productivity, quality and operational savings.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data from disparate sources and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and operating numbers.
  • Advanced analytical acumen with aptitude to take a deep dive into data, perform automation and modeling, and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to partner with Operational Teams and IT to create customized reporting, dashboards, and system-driven processes that improve data quality related to operational metrics.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or Manufacturing industry.
  • Advanced presentation skills with the ability to present data based on the needs of the audience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to lead improvement projects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a detail-oriented and proactive approach to identifying areas for enhancement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility.
  • Experience with data visualization, and reporting tools.
  • Epicor ERP experience (strongly preferred).
  • CPA and/or MBA.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Finance or Cost Accounting, with at least 2 years in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing operational and program costs, investigating variances, and providing insights for decision-making.
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Executive teams.
  • Experience in process improvement and automation of financial reporting.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • CPA and/or MBA are a nice-to-have but not required.
  • Training or certifications in Epicor ERP, Epicor FP&A, or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Computer Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data visualization).
  • Experience with Epicor ERP and Epicor FP&A preferred.
  • Experience in other ERP systems with financial and operational data integration is acceptable.
  • Experience with Data Visualization and Reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift.
  • Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled.
  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment.
  • Exposure to contaminants.
  • Shared workspaces with other employees.
  • Requires handing objects of up to 50lbs.
  • Lifting pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift and overtime).

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the pay for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
