Implements and executes pay programs to support the assigned business area(s) working with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and Line of Business (LOB) Management. Develops new pay programs when called for to achieve business objectives while balancing corporate interests. Compensation issues include salary administration, market analyses, and incentive plan design. Provides the business with compensation program strategic advice and counsel on matters including job architecture, market analysis and incentive pay. Interprets corporate compensation strategy for the assigned business area(s). Reviews and interprets market research and analyses to inform solutions and recommendations related to, but not limited to, total compensation issue/packages and structuring new hire offer packages.Manages and executes small-to-medium scale technical compensation projects/initiatives that are cross functional and global in nature. Examples include designing year-end pay review process improvement recommendations to increase efficiencies and accuracy. Builds relationships with HR Business Partners and Business Managers. Provides advice and guidance to on all compensation matters. Coordinates with HR Operations and Finance on a variety of compensation-related matters. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of technical and legal aspects of compensation and HR preferred. Must have technical mastery of applications such as Excel, Access, HR systems, etc.. BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $175,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. |
