SUMMARY

The Office Support Person V - Counter Clerk - Counter Team member supports several functions and processes of the Clerk of Courts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the public, attorneys, and courthouse staff with work related issues in a professional manner.
  • Process summary citations appeals and nunc pro tunc petitions.
  • Responds to incoming phone calls and follows up with voicemails forwarded from Team Supervisor.
  • Mail out notices to District Justice's Office and Police Officers for the summary appeals that were filed.
  • Process record checks from Pa State Police, Military, other government agencies and private individuals.
  • Enter data into CPCMS regarding the fingerprint cards .
  • Process any Pro Se filings.
  • Prepare bail bond paperwork.
  • "Miscellaneous File" creation.
  • Back up for cashier.
  • Back up for receptionist.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
  • Background in Criminal Justice helpful.
  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • High School diploma, or equivalency.
