What You'll Do

Summary/Objective: The Mortgage Closing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in the coordination and preparation of all mortgage loan closings. - Coordinate with members, underwriters, processors, attorneys, and title companies in the preparation of all mortgage closing packages.
- Prepare loan closing packages in accordance with credit union guidelines, federal regulations, as well as secondary market commitments and requirements.
- Ensure the Closing Disclosure and all closing documents are within acceptable timing requirements and tolerances as required by the CFPB, HOEPA and HPML rules and all other applicable regulations and investor guidelines.
- Prepare the initial escrow analysis for the loan closing.
- Coordinate with other departments for the wiring of funds.
- Advise all parties of any change requests or issues and follow through to resolution.
- Perform pre-closing quality review of loan files prior to releasing the closing package.
- Complete all disbursement procedures for issuing funds to attorneys/title companies and borrower funds.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Manager (s).
