What You'll Do
|
Summary/Objective: The Secondary Market Specialist II is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all mortgage data and information in both the LOS and Investor programs. Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Performs all duties of Secondary Market Specialist I with flawless execution
- Manage DCU's investor mortgage portfolios, including but not limited to: uploading scrubbed ULDD files, clearing all edits, taking out contracts and filling them with loans, adding data back into LOS, working with Secondary Market Specialist II in finalizing data within hedge reports.
- Perform checks and balances on all notes to be sold into the secondary market, including but not limited to: storage and retrieval of live notes, confirmation of original signatures, and confirmation of original and current loan balances.
- Performance and maintenance of rate surveys from the competition.
- Manage all rate lock functions (lock confirmation, extensions, reprice, exceptions, etc.) within the LOS system and work with Secondary Market Specialist II in confirming correct data within hedge reports
- Support management in the creation of daily rate sheets and daily and monthly reports, including distribution and preparation
- Maintain all interest rate changes and ensure all general ledgers are current and up to date.
- Professional attitude and teamwork while dealing with a multi-functional team. Works closely with Secondary Market Specialist I and Mortgage Operations Specialist to ensure that constant and correct information is communicated to the floor.
- Acts as the primary organizer of all deliveries of loans into the secondary market, with a focus on creating contracts to maximize profitability while also maintaining Super-Conforming limits applied by the GSEs
- Administers and ensures that all hedging activities are 100% accurate and balanced with any third-party vendor hired by DCU.
- Thorough understanding of the bond market.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures for the Secondary Department
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Manager (s).

What You'll Need
|
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of mortgage or related experience
- Knowledge of state and federal compliance regulations
- Knoweledge of Secondary Market guidelines (Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac)
