Summary

The Service Parts Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely planning, scheduling, and delivery of service parts to meet customer demand and maintain optimal inventory levels. This role coordinates production schedules, manages safety stock levels, processes expedited requests, and ensures timely shipping of orders, particularly through UPS and other carriers.

Based out of our Lebanon, TN, office, this role is eligible to participate in our hybrid work program, which allows employees to work remotely up to two days per week. New employees in eligible roles can apply for this program after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule over 40,000 production orders per year for service parts to meet forecasted and actual demand.
  • Maintain appropriate safety stock levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Process and coordinate UPS and other outbound shipments to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Manage and prioritize expedited orders, ensuring timely resolution and communication with internal teams.
  • Monitor part availability and adjust schedules based on supply chain disruptions, inventory status, and lead times.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure efficient planning and execution.
  • Use ERP or MRP systems to track inventory, orders, and planning data.
  • Analyze relevant data and strategically coordinate with required teams for continuous improvement in production scheduling, parts shipping, and overall customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree a plus; HS Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Experience in production planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong continuous improvement skills
  • Ability to analyze situations and react in a timely manner necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
