Milton CAT is seeking a Regional Inventory Coordinator, working within the assigned region to optimize inventory of rental machines and equipment. This role reviews inventory and assigns the best asset available to fill a rental need based on several criteria, including physical location, age and condition of equipment and financial considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage equipment reservations; implement and adhere to reservation policies and guidelines to keep equipment inventory as current and accurate as possible.
  • Utilize AX to review orders and available equipment inventory.
  • Assign equipment to fill needs based on analysis of business factors (location, equipment value, depreciation schedule, age/condition of equipment).
  • Partner with the Sales department to review the "ok to rent" list on a monthly basis. Preserve new inventory for sale, rather than assign to rental.
  • Work with service department to efficiently schedule equipment prep or repairs.
  • Aim to reduce transportation and logistics costs by analyzing machine needs and comparing with inventory at each location.
  • Analyze reports from AX, Veritread and other systems to optimize equipment, proactively identify issues and work to address them.
  • Manage demo contract duration to reduce the number of days on demo and ensure equipment is staying in "new" condition.
  • Responsible for inventory audits and EMR (electronic movement record) management
  • Produce metrics to provide line of sight to operational efficiency.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

* Knowledge of construction equipment is strongly desired.
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with customers/vendors and Milton CAT employees at a professional level both on the phone and in person.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills; detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.
* Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work and make decisions with minimum supervision.
* Ability to travel throughout the Milton CAT territory on an as needed basis.
