Production Control Specialist
Monday - Friday (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Job Summary:
The PCO specialist is responsible for maintaining the flow of daily transactions and addressing exceptions that may impact the flow of materials and labor required to meet production and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Write outside service purchase orders (i.e heat treat, outside processing)
  • Work MRP exception messages
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned


Education/Experience:


  • 3+ years Production control experience or specialized training in scheduling
  • Must have a background in fabrication, production, scheduling and planning
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing
  • Production planning: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Inventory control: 3 years (Preferred)


Other Qualifications:


  • Experience planning, analyzing, and scheduling job order in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with suppliers and internal departments
  • Knowledge with cycle counting & physical inventory
  • Familiar with MRP / ERP systems
  • This position requires the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers.
  • Must be able to take verbal and written instructions.
  • Attention to detail - Hard worker - Good attitude
  • Ability to work overtime as needed


Physical Demands and Work Environment

To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:


  • Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, stand for long periods to perform job duties
  • Regularly lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 60 pounds
  • Frequently climb steps, stairs, or ladders
  • Frequently bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneel
  • Accurately distinguish colors, letters, and numbers
  • Visual acuity to interpret readings on gauges and other measuring devices
  • Use hands and fingers to manually inspect and assess, lift, rotate, and wrap or otherwise package parts
  • Ability to climb up and down as necessary to board and operate forklift
  • Visual ability to gauge distances, recognize and avoid obstacles to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment


Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing warehouse environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:


  • Moderate Noise
  • Excessive noise, hearing protection required (occasionally)
  • Dust, smoke, fumes/vapors (occasionally)
  • Extreme temperatures (occasionally)
  • Sharp instruments including box cutters, scissors, and other tools used in packaging/shipping
  • Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment


The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear may be required
