Position Summary: As a Buyer will manage the procurement of raw materials via MRP to support manufacturing, engineering, and R&D. This role requires a high-performing individual with global procurement experience, strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications & Requirements:



  • BS/BA degree and 2 plus years of experience preferred.
  • Or 5 plus years equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in the wire and cable manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of logistics and customs duties is helpful.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Enterprise and ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are also important.

  • Accountable for the effective management of suppliers and ensuring strong relationships. You are also responsible for actively seeking and implementing the best procurement strategies to achieve year-over-year cost reductions for MRO and assigned consumable inventory. In addition to being accountable for the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to managing material availability and inventory.
  • Collaborate by managing inventory and supporting senior buyers, while proactively collaborating with internal teams such as Finance, Operations, and Sales to meet operational needs, identify cost savings, and resolve supplier issues. Furthermore, you will engage with colleagues across Winchester to identify and implement best practices, take initiative, utilize diverse communication strategies, align data tracking, share achievements, and participate in Supply Chain Councils.
  • Empowered to be a role model embodying the Winchester culture and values, leading by example with trust and data-driven decisions. Additionally, you have the empowerment to simplify processes, utilize resources, seek new suppliers, establish replenishment systems, hold suppliers accountable, address supply chain issues, and engage others for support, while embracing a "think big, start small, move fast" approach.



Pay Transparency:

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $28.23/hr - $31.73/hr (DOE), plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
