The Software Engineer I is responsible for developing and maintaining code within ServiceNow to implement new and existing capabilities and features on the platform. This role will require problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply ServiceNow platform capabilities to assist with feature implementation and application maintenance.
  • Participate in team planning activities and contribute to the estimation of technical input, resources, time, and anticipated outcomes for features and elements.
  • Assist in writing ServiceNow scripts, workflows, and forms aligned with established standards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate and address bug reports in a prompt manner.
  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver incremental improvements.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve coding skills and ensure code quality.
  • Contribute to testing efforts, including writing unit tests and participating in peer testing.
  • Provide support for ServiceNow upgrades and enhancements.
  • Document technical processes to capture best practices, methodologies, and ensure repeatability in alignment with team standards.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow capabilities, tools, and development practices.
  • Communicate updates, challenges, and concerns to team members, managers, product owners, and other key stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field
  • Exposure to scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript) and a willingness to learn more advanced techniques.
  • Exposure or basic understanding of ServiceNow platform.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow Flow Designer, Service Portal, or App Engine Studio.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow data structure (tables, relationships).


Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to ServiceNow Flow Designer, Service Portal, or App Engine Studio.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow data structure (tables, relationships).
  • Experience related to REST APIs or integration tools is a plus.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification or willingness to obtain within first year.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Agile development methodologies.


USD 72,200.00 - 108,200.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $72,200.00 - $108,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
