A Brief Overview
Hardy High School students will participate in a career-connected learning program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This initiative will provide students with opportunities for career exploration across three distinct pathways: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Sterile Processing Technologist (CPD), and Digital Technology Services (DTS). Participants will gain hands-on experience in clinical, operational, and administrative roles related to these professions.

What you will do

  • Engage actively in speaker engagements, presentations, and career-related events at CHOP facilities.
  • Participate in clinical and non-clinical education, training, career exploration, shadowing, and observational experiences.
  • Engage in professional skill-building, coaching, and support provided by CHOP personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Current Enrollment Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Required proficiency)
  • Written and verbal communication skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Able to work in an organized manner, work well with others, with attention to detail. (Required proficiency)
  • Must have initiative and good problem solving skills. (Required proficiency)
