Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following: * ** Medical, dental & vision * Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available * Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Transportation benefits * Employee Assistance Program * Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) * Top Local Company -Join the largest employer in the nation * Publicly Traded - Enjoy the stability of working for a publicly traded business * Best-In-Class Training - This client hires based on character, not just skillset as skills can be trained * Growth Opportunities - Look forward to the opportunity to cross-train and chase internal promotions *A Day in the Role:* * *Ensure receipt of all inpatient, ambulatory surgery, emergency department and all other outpatient records; review each patient record for quality of the original, identify items that cannot be scanned, ensure patient identification on each document, and group like documents in the appropriate order in preparation for scanning and/or filing* * *The Health Information Technician will also scan all records into the Electronic Patient Folder (EPF) on a daily basis.* * *This position will maintain daily workflow, ensuring that records are scanned in a timely and efficient manner to avoid delay in further processing.* * *Retrieves all records of discharged patients from all units (including inpatient, outpatient surgery, emergency department, clinics etc.) on a daily basis.* * *Checks daily discharge/chart locator log to ensure receipt of all records and follows up on records not received.* * *Ensures that all patient records are received within 24 hours of discharge, reporting to manager when unable to obtain a patient record.* * *Prepares all documents by removing staples, paper clips, sticky notes, and rubber bands.* * *Prepares all documents in date sequence from admission to date of discharge. Groups like document types together, places in page order and in date order correctly.* * *Copies all damaged documents so that they can go through the scanning process without difficulty.* *Requirements:* * 2+ years experience in Medical Records or HIM * Diploma or GED required * EMR Experience preferred *Next Steps:* * Please respond and I will follow up to discuss next steps *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
