What you'll be doing...

As part of this team, you will play a meaningful role in our network transformation through building a unified network across all lines of business and maintaining the technology that keeps millions of our customers connected.

  • Performing expert level troubleshooting and debugging of both network and application system issues.

  • Providing network technical assistance to external teams by communicating technical details to customer service centers, technical support organizations, and executive management teams during network events and major outages.

  • Developing resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity.

  • Focusing on high availability, resiliency, security, efficiency, and operational supportability while meeting or exceeding the project schedule.

  • Exercising judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results.

  • Accountable for the project results, summarizing the project status and documentation.

What we're looking for...

You must be detail-oriented, think critically to solve issues in real-time and focus on maximizing customer uptime and minimizing impact.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or Electronics.

  • Experience in scripting languages and automation tools.

  • Experience with 4G/5G Core.

  • Experience with managing high expectations from multiple directions with the proven ability to focus team members on objectives

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Key aspects of this role include...

  • Designs, plans, installs, implements, and maintains telecommunication technology systems, including switching systems, voice, mail, and cellular equipment. Designs and stands up new systems and platforms within the Network. Improves the customer experience and takes ownership of assigned tasks. Responsible for defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards and maintaining technology resources related to infrastructure (both on-premises and cloud).

  • Designs and/or develop new network-related technologies across the company's various networks and systems.

  • Develops maintenance plans for the existing telecommunication systems, identifying and determining processes for updating or decommissioning components based on the requirements of the business.

  • Analyzes the network to identify opportunities for performance optimization and automation of existing processes and develops the plans/designs.

  • Translates requests from internal teams into network requirements making adjustments to internal systems accordingly.

  • Collaborates with the business develop the designs for network creation, modeling, deployment, and installation across multiple OS environments.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
