Position Summary |
This position is 1 of 3 positions in the Operations Unit of the Conference Center. The Operations Unit of the Conference Center is responsible entirely for all aspects of the facility. The Conference Center is a 133,000 sq ft full service conference center and this position is solely responsible for all setup/breakdown/cleanup for all events that takes place at the conference center including: placement of tables and chairs, linens, buffet lines, stage pieces, and A/V equipment as requested by the client of the event. Duties also include locking and unlocking the building, cleaning each room after every meeting, garbage removal, sweeping floors, resetting the room for the next meeting or break down the room to reset later. This position completes minor repairs including but not limited to restroom facilities, maintaining paper towel dispensers/hand sanitizer, light bulbs, mopping floors, cleaning carpet, walls, and upholstery, and other facility maintenance as needed. This position also assists with equipment, furniture moving for events; unloading of shipments that arrive via transport truck on pallets, and is accountable for the inventory of the conference center.
This position will work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends, depending on event needs. |

- This is a physically demanding job that involves set up and take down of tables and chairs on a daily basis.
- Additionally, the individual will operate large equipment such as a ride-on vacuum cleaner, pallet jacks, and forklift.
