Conference Control Room - Live Operations Coordinator (B1G Ten)

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite at the Big Ten Conference Headquarters)

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term 6-Month

Salary: $43,000 - $57,000 Pro Rata

Working Pattern: Up to 5 days/week in the office

As a Live Operations Coordinator, you will be working as part of a growing team to deliver Video Replay services to the B1G Ten Conference.

As a College Live Ops Coordinator for the 3rd floor supervisor room, you will be working as part of a growing team to deliver Video Replay services to the B1G Ten Conference. The main sport being delivered in the B1G Ten delivery at the moment is Football, and we want to continue to grow out the team to support the growing scope of our delivery.

The candidate will be responsible for the 'live' operational quality of the Replay deliverables, and ensure systems are set up correctly, and internally are fully functional to ensure delivery.

As with the nature of the events this spans, you will need to be prepared to work long days at weekends and midweek evenings, as we work whenever sport happens.

Outside of live operational support, the candidate will be across other aspects of project delivery to ensure the smooth running of the project as we continue to deliver and iterate on our services:

Working closely with the Operational team to:

• Produce thorough documentation for (and possibly deliver) training of college replay staff (both onsite technicians and Illinois) - alongside Service Ops.

• Produce and refine thorough documentation for operational workflows (including but not limited to checklists, reporting, disaster recovery, etc).

• Making sure to challenge the process, identify any gaps and/or inefficiencies in the way things are done

• Responsible for the 'live' operational quality of the Replay deliverables in the Supervisor Room of the Replay centre during all B1G Ten football games.

• Ensuring systems are set up correctly and are fully functional internally to meet delivery standards.

• Be the point person for questions and troubleshooting needs as they arise in the room.

• Provide set-day supervisor support from the replay centre in Rosemont & assist in weekly admin tasks.

Working closely with the Project team to:

• Keep on top of quirks, ensuring any hardware issues are dealt with in a timely manner, and a plan is put in place to rectify them

Working closely with the Tech Ops team:

• Although initially, Tech Ops will be driving the software development, to be the first level of resolution for operational issues and challenges (before handing over)

• Provide feedback on the software, from functionality as well as an ease-of-use standpoint

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $43,000 to $57,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for a limited benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision).
