POSITION SUMMARY

Lift Operators are responsible for orchestrating the safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of all guests while riding the ski lift with mountain bikes or as a foot passenger. This involves engaging with and providing a first-class mountain adventure for each guest. The Lift Operator must communicate clearly and make split second decisions to ensure safe operation of the ski lift and ticket validation. This is a part-time seasonal role, compensated at $20.00/hours.

This position will begin at the end of May and have hours available through mid-October. Scheduling availability must include weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Greet and welcome each guest as they load and unload the lift
  • Respond to all guest inquiries in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Follow all lift opening, operating, and closing procedures
  • Ensure all safety signs, mats, and safety cones are in place
  • Valid guests lift access products
  • Ensure consistent line speed through RFID gates
  • Troubleshoot RFID gates and tablet equipment
  • Upkeep appearance of lift shack, inside and surrounding area
  • Give verbal and non-verbal commands as needed to help guide guests
  • Enforce all safety practices for both guests and employees
  • Additional duties as assigned


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent, or in progress

Experience:
  • Previous customer service experience, preferred
  • ATV/UTV experience, a plus


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Ability to work outside for long periods of time in inclement weather
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires availability on weekends and holidays.
