POSITION TITLE / LOCATION Support Operator - Material Handler JOB CLASSIFICATION Support Operator -Material Handler POSITION REPORTS TO Production Manager POSITION OVERVIEW The operator has the responsibility to identify any non-conformities in the Quality System as it relates to their area of responsibility and report it to the Production Manager, P.I. Department of I.S.O. Management Representative. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Safety procedures Follow procedure to dismount tugger correctly Visual Inspection of Tuggers Check battery Check lights Check brakes Check horn Check foot pedal Complete red cards Move full cans of stock to correct frame Move empty cans to draw frame Operate PIV Ensure proper stock identification MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Read Recognize all colors Air hose/broom Push pull - lifting Operate tugger Preferred Qualifications PIV experience Skill Requirements Operate PIV tugger Authorized Training Time On the job training MACHINES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED PIV TUGGER CANS PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT USED EAR PLUGS STEEL TOE SAFETY SHOES SAFETY GLASSES TUGGER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Standing: Standing/walking approx. 11 hrs. per day 95% ofday
7. Bending: Ability to pick up objects from the floor 10% of day 8. Cognitive: Alert. Able to make decisions, reason, and understand information. 100% of day 9. Visual Acuity: Read identification labels, identify band color, complete red cards. 100% of day. 10. Pulmonary: Ability to work in cotton dust environment. Meet cotton pulmonary function requirements. 100% of day WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud. Shift/Work Hours Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
