About the Role Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead operations at our soybean processing facility in Dawson, MN. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for aligning plant performance with business goals-ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation. In this role, you'll shape the short- and long-term direction of the plant while working closely with executive management. We're looking for a dynamic leader with strong technical knowledge, strategic insight, and a passion for developing high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor plant personnel; manage training, performance, and workforce planning.
- Oversee daily production operations, maintenance, and logistics to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Manage inventory systems including product storage, procurement, and transportation coordination.
- Monitor plant safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance.
- Review financial and production reports; develop and manage capital and operating budgets.
- Ensure full compliance with PSM, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and all applicable regulations.
- Collaborate across departments to drive process optimization and operational consistency.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, processing, or related fields.
- 5+ years in plant operations or production management.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance (OSHA, PSM, NFPA, EPA).
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development, safety, and results.
- Strong business acumen and experience in budget planning and execution.
- Familiarity with process automation, controls, and logistics (rail & truck preferred).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
