Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW While working in the Clean Room, Coating, Converting, Extrusion, Lamination, Rewind, Slitting or Press department you will be given an opportunity to develop your skills through our training programs. You start at an assistant level position to learn the basics, and have the chance to progress and become a machine operator. You will have various opportunities to cross-train and develop new skill sets for a successful career at Amcor. SHIFTS:
- 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 shift schedule rotating bi-weekly from days to nights
- 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 shift schedule straight nights (5:00pm-5:00am)
COMPENSATION:$24.17/hour + $1.20/hour night shift premium available + 1.5x pay on Sundays! Work just 3 or 4 days a week and shift schedules provided a whole calendar year in advance!Enjoy a three day weekend every other weekend! BENEFITS:

WHAT COATER ASSISTANTS GET TO DO:
- Assist Coater Operator with all aspects of the job
- Learn to operate the machine and serve as backup operator when operator is away from machine or on vacation
- Banding return stock, empty cores, headers, start-up rolls, and butt rolls
- Loading new stock on back of machine and unloading finished rolls
- Changing and cleaning silicon rolls
- Adjust slitters and tension for each job
- Daily and weekly housekeeping
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs
- Willing and able to stand and walk for a 12-hour shift
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
- Frequent use of wrist and hands
- Frequent stepping up and down from platforms
