Responsibilities



  • Drive and implement a differentiated global sales strategy for the refinery segment, aligned with overall segment and corporate objectives.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing global sales team, setting clear goals for revenue, margin, and cash flow performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Segment Strategy, Product Management, Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing, and more to ensure unified execution.
  • Strengthen market position in targeted applications, with execution grounded in strategic segmentation.
  • Develop and implement pricing models and value-based selling strategies; drive receivables/payables targets.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop sales talent across regions to build a strong, high-performance culture.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and drive commercialization.
  • Initiate innovation projects and support marketing initiatives with strong customer interface engagement.
  • Cultivate and manage global licensing and technology partnerships to win new business and drive segment growth.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities with an entrepreneurial, growth-driven approach.
  • Promote a pragmatic, inclusive, and collaborative leadership style that drives organizational performance, cross-functional alignment, and fosters a culture of innovation, agility, and customer-centricity within a diverse, international sales organization.
  • Champion operational excellence, team performance, and sales process improvements including tools like Miller-Heiman and value-based pricing methodologies.



Requirements



  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Technology, or Business; a background in chemistry or catalyst technology is highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles with proven business acumen and strategic capability.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing international and multicultural teams within a complex matrix organization.
  • Effective understanding of technical sales, operational excellence, and refinery market dynamics.
