Position Summary

The Closing Manager/Director for HomeAmerican Mortgage is responsible for supervising the work of remote loan closers. This includes providing training, coaching, and regular performance feedback to ensure a high level of service, quality, and efficiency. The role involves responding to audit findings, identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems, and stepping in to perform closing duties as needed. This position can be located in CO, AZ, CA, NV, or FL.

Responsibilities

    Supervise, train, and motivate loan closing staff in accordance with corporate policies and industry regulations.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and conduct 90-day, semi-annual, and annual performance reviews, in coordination with senior management.

  • Document and address employee performance concerns professionally and effectively.

  • Ensure timely delivery of closing figures and closing packages to title companies.

  • Communicate with title companies and internal departments such as underwriting, processing, and post-closing to resolve closing issues and address their root causes to prevent recurrence.

  • Respond to audit findings and implement corrective actions and track to ensure they are effective.

  • Monitor and improve the efficiency and accuracy of closing operations.

  • Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports as required by senior management.

  • Perform loan closing duties when necessary.

  • Manage a team of remote employees

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of mortgage loan closing and supervisory experience.

  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Technical knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional loan closing requirements.

  • Recent experience with Encompass loan origination software.

  • Familiarity with hybrid closings, eNotes, and Remote Online Notarization (RON

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $90,000-$115,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
