Degree Completion Success Coach - Online Learning

Description

The Degree Completion Success Coach supports the academic and personal success of adult learners enrolled in the university's degree completion programs. This role focuses on building strong, supportive relationships with students from enrollment through graduation, helping them navigate the unique challenges of returning to college as working adults. By providing individualized guidance, motivation, and connection to resources, the Success Coach is critical in promoting student persistence, improving retention rates, and supporting timely degree completion.

Description of Tasks Performed:



  • Conduct registration appointments and/or sessions, advising students on degree requirements, transferable courses, creating degree plans, and academic policies for degree completion. Conduct proactive, intrusive advising appointments for students at risk of dropping out or stopping.
  • Implement retention strategies by maintaining regular, meaningful contact with students and creating individualized success plans for those facing academic or personal challenges.
  • Create and monitor risk profiles for students. Design systems to help students when risk factors intervene.
  • Meet with the enrollment team regularly to coordinate the smooth transfer of students from initial admission through orientation and into active academic advising and coaching support.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience 1 to 3 years
