As an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1, you will the serve as the application development expert on project teams that include business analysts, subject matter experts, lower level application developers, and other information technology personnel to provide direction and planning for the project and activities being utilized by the department. Duties involve the independent development and maintenance of highly technical applications and will utilize Java, JavaScript, .NET, C#, SQL, and HTML5. Within this role, you will engage in all parts of the systems development life cycle of the project. This professional also serves as part of the application development team to support PID's development efforts, including the development of new requirements, application change requests/enhancements, and diagnosis and fixing of application issues.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work hours are negotiable.
• Occasional irregular work hours required.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
• Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
• One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
