Overview
Assists in completing the daily deposit and greets and assists customers in the front office.

Responsibilities
Conduct customer service and computer functions in the front office for Parking and Transportation Department (70%):
  • Completes parking permits sales, collects parking citation payments, and provides visitor information in the Parking Office.
  • Negotiates with customers regarding citations
  • Ensures all data is entered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Processes citations payments received through the mail and in person.
  • Makes suggestions on ways to improve services, efficiency, policy and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of all department procedures and parking regulations.
  • Coordinates with the Parking Operations Manager for specific supplemental projects as needed.
  • Assists in the linking of vehicles to issued citations using the Utah Criminal Justice Information System.

Administer the financial affairs for the department (30%):
  • Helps in the preparation of the daily deposit for the Parking Office, Terrace Operations, Motor Pool and events.
  • Resolves accounting discrepancies.
  • Prepares and distributes billing statements to on-campus entities.
  • Initiates and analyzes department computerized reports and disseminates as appropriate.
  • Reconciles P-card transactions, acts as the card holder.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
  • Four years of experience; or an associate degree/technical training plus two years of experience; or a bachelor's degree is required.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (See Responsibilities section)
