About the Job

A Pathologist Researcher (Researcher 7) is sought by the Comparative Pathology Shared Resource (CPSR), a core laboratory for the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center which is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The CPSR provides comprehensive pathology support (including histology and immunohistochemistry) for Cancer Center investigators, mainly involving rodent, and some canine, pathology. The successful applicant will assist CPSR Director with necropsies, gross and histological evaluation of tissues (including interpretation of ancillary histochemically stained and immunohistochemistry labeled tissue sections), development of immunohistochemisty protocols, photography of gross and microscopic specimens, research study design and data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

The pathologist researcher is expected to participate in preparation and presentation of data to study investigators, and to author, co-author, and otherwise collaborate on reports, conference papers and publications.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $121,000 - $135,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
