Responsibilities

As a Aircraft Survivability PM Support Professional with MTSI you will provide the U.S. Air Force with Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) and Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) on-site to achieve technically sufficient, cost-effective, long-term, critical capabilities to support the war-fighting mission of the combatant commanders. This position is located on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB) in Washington, DC.

Your essential functions will include, and may not be limited to:

  • Provide dedicated support to the Program Element Monitor responsible for the Secretary of the Air Force, Special Programs (SAF/AQL) aircraft and survivability portfolio
  • Work, collaborate, and at times appear for the organization on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of multiple programs and be able to perform all functional duties independently
  • Execute analysis of technologies for associated or one-of-a kind systems to include system acquisition and life cycle management for planning, programming, budgeting, and security policy
  • Use your in-depth understanding of aircraft, survivability, warfighter capability and requirements, DoD system acquisition, programs and defense policy to evaluate issues and provide recommendations up to the Director/GO/SES level on the portfolios security policy
  • Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific project
  • Collaborate with diverse organizations and agencies to find opportunities and set up cooperative agreements to determine solutions to challenging cross cutting problems
  • Provide acquisition oversight and support portfolio management activities including working groups and integrated product teams
  • Interface with other DoD Services, Congress, industry, and other external offices and agencies

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 15+ years of relevant DoD work experience, including experience on aircraft development or operations, survivability related programs, research, and acquisition
  • No less than three (3) years' experience within the last five (5) years in a Special Access Program and/or SCI environment (REQUIRED)
  • DoD 5000.02 acquisition experience on one or more ACAT I and/or ACAT II acquisition programs for research, development, test, evaluation, production, modernization or lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities of a DoD program; international acquisition and/or foreign disclosure experience a plus
  • Intrinsically motivated team player with a desire to learn including maintenance of technical relevancy
  • MAJCOM level or higher Staff Experience
  • Strong communications to include verbal and technical writing skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science, mathematics, engineering or related technical field
  • Master of Science (MS) / Master of Engineering (ME) Degree (Desired)
  • Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) - certified in Program Management, Engineering, IT and/or Test & Evaluation; Advanced or formerly Level 3 (DESIRED)

Clearance Requirements:

Active TS/SCI (Cl polygraph highly desired)
