We are currently hiring a full time Director of Dietary and Food Services for Fremont Hospital!

The Director of Dietary and Food Services serves as a steward of the department, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and shared responsibility across teams, while actively working to prevent the kitchen and department from becoming siloed. This role is responsible for the overall management and coordination of dietary services, ensuring all activities are conducted transparently and in close communication with hospital leadership, other departments, and key stakeholders. The Director oversees the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation of nutritious, well-presented meals for patients and staff, the maintenance of a clean and sanitary environment, the monitoring and purchasing of food and supply inventories, proper food storage, and accurate documentation of required data. This position requires effective staff leadership, adherence to food and staffing budgets, and continuous efforts to reduce waste. The Director is also responsible for developing and tracking departmental performance improvement plans, enhancing patient satisfaction, and reporting outcomes to the Quality Council.
