Primary Purpose of the Position
The Department of Business Administration in the College of Business and Entreprenuerhip at Winston-Salem State University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, Instructor of Marketing beginning August 2025 who will be teaching a variety of marketing courses. Special consideration will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary teaching with interests in digital marketing, integrated marketing communications, consumer behavior, marketing analytics, marketing research, entrepreneurial marketing, and/or marketing strategy.

Required Qualifications
Graduate business degree before August 15, 2025. Those with business-related graduate degrees and strong marketing work experience will be considered.

Strong teaching background or a potential for teaching excellence and a passion for student engagement.

Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate in Marketing or related field from an AACSB-accredited program.
Experience in delivery of both on-campus and on-line classes
Previous experience partnering with business and industry

Describe the specific job duties related to this competency
WSSU seeks a committed and engaged faculty member for the Department of Business Administration who will perform specific duties at a high level. These duties include but are not limited to the following:
Teaching
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching marketing courses to both undergraduate and graduate students, utilizing face-to-face, online, and hybrid instruction methods. The teaching load will consist of 12 credit hours (or the equivalent contact hours) per semester.
The successful candidate must construct detailed course syllabi, facilitate high quality, engaging instruction to students with diverse learning styles.
The ideal candidate will leverage various technologies to communicate regularly with students, monitor student progress, and provide feedback on student success outcomes.
The successful candidate must hold office hours each week proportionate to their teaching load.
