The Senior Manager, Automation Engineering will engineer automation-based solutions to support the preparation of proposals for new business opportunities, renewals of current customer contracts, and re-engineering current operations by identifying vendors, and engineering and costing automated operations.

Main areas of focus and accountability of the role - detail in order of importance the main areas of accountability of the role:
1 Manage automation engineering projects to support proposals, renewals and re-engineering activities to support CEVA business and profit growth objectives. Projects may include complex solutions for large omni-channel operations, the integration of multiple equipment vendors to provide a seamless operation, and include automated equipment from receiving through shipping. The effort includes review of multiple vendor bids for each projects, reviewing and challenging all vendors submissions and quotes, establishing a timeline for implementation, and identify risks and mitigation to the risks for each proposal.
2 Hire/train/upskill Solution Design engineers on the functionality, use and deployment of automated equipment
3 Work with Design Solution engineers, Pricing Analysts, BDs and Program Managers to schedule, prepare and submit proposals for new business and renewals on a timely basis
4 Develop relationships with automated equipment vendors and proactively evaluate and recommend automated equipment vendors for certification by GHO
5 Support the implementation of automated operations and equipment as needed
6 Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the Solution Design team
7 Incorporate green initiatives into CEVA proposals when appropriate and in conjunction with employee support of local communities


Essential

Education & Qualifications - A BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering,

Experience - 7+ years of Experience engineering and implementing DCs with automation equipment

Specialist Knowledge & Skills - Knowledge/experience of Automated DC equipment and operations

Interpersonal & Communication Skills - Ability to communicate/work with executive leaders, fluent in English
