As a Security Professional - Access Control in Punta Gorda, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure environment, while your strong communication skills support positive interactions with staff and visitors. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. This role requires agility and reliability as you adapt to the needs of the location and maintain a visible presence to help prevent incidents.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the government facility and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activities, or policy violations according to established protocols.
• Assist visitors and staff with access-related inquiries and provide guidance on site procedures as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
