We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, individual to support the Enterprise Moves Section to relocate staff, facilities, equipment, materials and furniture both on and off APL campuses. Interact and collaborate with staff of all levels to provide relocation and material management services. Prioritize schedules and assign relocation work for staff within the section. As a member of our team, you'll contribute to the FMT Group as necessary and ensure our success in providing services. As a Materials Moves Coordinator...

  • Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and schedule across all departments, the relocation of Laboratory personnel, equipment, materials and furniture. Meet and collaborate with APL staff for large-scale projects.
  • Prepare and oversees work using move management applications. Assign and oversee work of staff in the section.
  • Determine the most efficient and effective work methods, staffing requirements and equipment needed to perform jobs.
  • Inspect equipment and vehicle condition, schedule approved repairs with automotive maintenance function and report all mechanical and or safety concerns to the Section Supervisor.
  • Maintain Enterprise Move data, surplus furniture and moving supplies inventory. Schedule the delivery and pick-up of moving supplies to internal partners. Identify additional supplies and equipment as needed.
  • You will support the FMT Group as necessary.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Have 3+ years of administrative, scheduling, time management and organization experience
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills. Abilityto interact well with all levels of staff effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk extensively
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience implementing organizational and process change
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collect and analyze information and provide sound recommendations
  • Requires valid state-of-residence driver's license in good standing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card
  • Are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.

  • Relocation or move industry experience
  • Knowledge of the Tririga move management system
  • Experience handling Hazardous Material
  • Demonstrated leadership ability

  • Safety shoes required
  • Work M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm
  • Occasional overtime is required

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development.
