Department Overview
PG&E's Underground Program organization is working to reduce wildfire risk each day as we underground 10,000 miles of distribution lines. We are responsible for working across all internal teams and engaging external stakeholders to support successfully meeting our goals and reducing wildfire risk in our hometowns. We work in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

PG&E's Electric Construction Management organization oversees over $2 billion in contract construction work for Electric Operations, including the Undergrounding program, New Business and numerous other critical programs. We deliver safe and efficient construction services for our customers and our internal partners.

Position Summary
Designs, develops, implements, and oversees health and safety programs in accordance with safety & health strategy which includes program marketing and immersion of programs at PG&E to change or improve employee health, safety, and wellness. Manages activities associated with safety, wellness, and/or health programs including planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting effectiveness of such programs.

Responsible for organizing, leading, and facilitating cross-functional teams as well as communicating programs. Works with Safety & Health leaders to strategize and execute program initiatives; supports execution by providing tools to leadership and health champions. Delivers presentations and training courses.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

1. Minimum: $114,000
2. Midpoint: $148,000
3. Maximum: $182,000

Job Responsibilities
* Develops, implements, monitors and maintains programs (EH&S Emergency Preparedness), systems, policies and procedures required to ensure regulatory compliance and the overall safety and health of employees and the community.
* Provides customer support to Emergency Preparedness and Restoration (EP&R), Customer Care and other functional areas, as needed.
* Conducts field observations, provides timely feedback, and documents in observation tool. Supports functional areas in the completion of injury/illness investigation and motor vehicle incidents.
* Provides support to emergency preparedness command system. Creates safety standards and policies that meet regulatory compliance and represent best practices.
* Recognizes, evaluates, recommends and implements PG&E Safety policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with Safety requirements.
* Makes presentations to senior leadership as well as communicating program philosophy, information, and operational policies and procedures. Ensures that quality control procedures are established to monitor all aspects of regulatory compliance.
* Must keep fully informed on all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety regulations. Develops and provides safety training to company employees.
* Develops and implements programs including leading coordination and facilitating of program review sessions with leaders and/or functional groups to review costs, schedule and program effectiveness.
* Promotes programs to enhance and encourage employee awareness of safety, accident/incidents, industrial hygiene and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
Minimum
* BA / BS degree or equivalent experience
* Seven (7) years of safety and program development/management experience in a construction, utility, or industrial environment, or master's degree in safety specific area and five (5) years of safety and program development experience in a construction, utility, or other industrial environment.
* May travel over 50% of the time.
