Description Accountable for successful operational delivery of Full-Service Solutions programs. Collaborates with other Full-Service Solutions Leadership on the program portfolio to achieve target revenue and profitability while ensuring the contracted services and expectations for all projects are delivered by the project teams in accordance with executed contracts and Client expectations. Engages with new/existing/potential clients to acquire new and/or repeat business and opportunities to retain/extend service offerings. Actively guides/mentors assigned program team members to instill excellence in project delivery. Active member of the Commercial Strategy and Solutions Leadership Team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing revision of the Full-Service Commercial delivery methodologies, tools, policies, and procedures.
- Leads the assigned delivery program team(s) to excellence in program delivery, with direct line management of select team members and indirect management of substantially more team members assigned from other business verticals.
- Ensures program governance and launch management framework implemented upon program execution and actioned as the program is delivered. Where applicable, serves as a member on the governance structure for a Client relationship.
- Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve service delivery effectiveness. Responsible for designing and implementing internal and external metrics and automated dashboards at the program and portfolio level.
- Chairs internal sessions with program team(s) to ensure proper identification, escalation, and management of risk. Responsible for standardizing governance frameworks and templates.
- Serves as a primary point of contact/escalation (internal and external) for resolution of issues/conflict/risk within individual delivery programs. Collaborates with other Full-Service Solutions Leadership on resolution.
- Ensures programs progress according to internal and Client quality standards, signed agreements (e.g., MSA, Term Sheet) and in compliance with federal and local regulations.
- In partnership with the rest of Full-Service Solutions Leadership, forecasts, prioritizes, and directs staff to achieve on-time deliverables with quality and in accordance with contracted scope and Client expectations. Maximizes opportunities to surpass client expectations.
- Advocates internally for the needs of individual clients/programs while balancing capabilities of the internal project team(s).
- Provides oversight to staff in driving management of financial aspects of assigned projects-e.g., executed contracts, CNFs, change orders, forecasting, invoicing, etc.
- Actively mentors staff in leadership skills, client management skills, project management skills, and project-specific tasks.
- Where necessary, develops/contributes to solutions for program issues and manages escalations appropriately. Facilitates team building and communication.
- Provides ongoing and continued support to program teams and comprehensively assesses and mitigates project risks to assure patient safety, data integrity, and quality project delivery.
- Liaises with Client and program teams to promote optimized application of project management disciplines and approaches within a fast-paced, customer obsessed, high-tech environment.
- Shares and applies ongoing lessons learned and best practices across projects/programs, building and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, with the Client and internally across all cross-functional levels.
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance service delivery efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and ensure cohesive operations.
- Collaborates closely with other Full-Service Solutions Leadership on staff performance issues and/or resource needs.
- Maintains active, billable participation in all programs in the Full-Service Commercial portfolio and managed time to target utilization and revenue under management targets.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Requires a BA/BS in the life sciences and/or business (MS or MBA preferred), plus extensive delivery experience within a contract commercialization organization or equivalent in the life sciences services industry.
- Experience actively managing large scale commercial service delivery projects in a matrixed organization, launch program experience preferred.
- Prior, extensive cross-functional project management experience within the commercial services industry is required.
- Thorough knowledge of major Health Authority regulations, commercialization, and project management procedures is necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and project management tools (such as SmartSheets, Project, Monday, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks within a dynamic projectized matrix team environment is essential - all while assuring program delivery on time and with quality.
- Requires effective communication, presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills as well as a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to travel as necessary (up to 25%).
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $200 to $250. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
