Job Summary
Data Business Analyst, II (BA II), is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of data solutions to support organizational decision-making. This position requires proficiency in mapping intermediate and simple PowerBI solutions independently and the capability to tackle more complex projects with guidance. The BAII will also play a crucial role in creating ReportsNow solutions and data dumps tailored to stakeholder needs, ensuring that the information delivered is accurate, relevant, and actionable.
Main Responsibilities
- Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, encompassing design, development, validation, documentation, and successful go-live execution.
- Strategically plan business analysis initiatives and establish methods for effective requirement management, with a special focus on data governance and reporting standards.
- Actively engage in solution development, ensuring alignment with business requirements and objectives while facilitating continuous feedback from stakeholders.
- Implement data management strategies that ensure data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility across the organization.
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks that deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and guidelines throughout all stages of the project.
- Maintain a focus on quality assurance and testing requirements, ensuring all solutions delivered meet predefined standards.
- Create ad-hoc ReportsNow reporting solutions for customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, with a strong focus on data analysis and reporting.
- Extensive knowledge of software applications and a robust background in Information Systems and data management.
- Proficient application and system analysis skills, with experience in data governance and data quality management.
- Demonstrated product ownership capabilities, including:
- Proactively identifying opportunities for software and process improvement.
- Leading initiatives and enhancements from concept to execution.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the capacity to articulate application functionality and data insights through documentation, presentations, and workshops.
- Ability to present complex information to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including:
- Supporting existing projects through solution implementation and integration.
- Driving small-scale improvement initiatives focused on data reporting.
- Implementing new applications with integrations into existing data structures and processes.
- Coordinating the efforts of other analysts on business integration projects, analyzing enterprise architecture, and collaborating across diverse teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerBI.
- Ability to quickly understand business structures, processes, and strategies.
- In-depth functional knowledge of application and module capabilities, as well as their constraints, particularly in the context of data management.
- Quick comprehension of system/application configurations and setups related to data storage and retrieval.
- Strong process-oriented mindset, focusing on creating repeatable procedures that enhance efficiency across tasks, regardless of assignment.
- The ability to foster productive working relationships with various teams across the organization, emphasizing collaboration around data-driven projects.
- Inquisitive nature, adept at uncovering underlying business needs and extracting pertinent information regarding product and project requirements, particularly related to data reporting and analysis through stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, capable of organizing, specifying, and modeling requirements to ensure clarity and comprehensiveness, especially in the context of data utilization.
