Sr. Industry Strategy Director

Location:

US - Remote with 30% - 50% travel

Overview:

The successful candidate will operate at CXO level within our customers, providing thought leadership on business strategy and transformation, leveraging your experience and knowledge of the industry. Your gravitas, acumen and communication skills, will present you as an authoritative expert, representing Blue Yonder capabilities in a business context.

Scope:
Working with the global Industry strategy peers and the senior cross-functional team, you will support the GTM approach according to TAM analysis and industry trends.
Support the GTM approach: co-defining the sales plays, industry packaging and messaging, thought leadership content and Partner strategy.

What You'll Do:
As a general guide, the role will be divided into the following activities:
Support the Annual GTM Business Plan for Logistics Service Providers - 50%

  • GTM approach, Budget Interlock plan creation experience is desired
  • Performance Analysis and Insights
  • Sales Plays & Sales Play Content Creation & Savvy Advisory simplified point of views for C-Suite audiences is desired.
  • Industry packaging, differentiation & industry messaging
  • Thought Leadership Content; former marketing experience is a plus.

Execution of Sales/Events - 40%

  • Sales support at CXO level
  • Participation in Industry events
  • Advisory boards
  • Building strong customer references

Contributing to Corporate Strategy - 10%

  • Industry trends - develop market growth and development plans for expanding industries
  • Support TAM analysis and opportunities
  • Business Cases, Advisory Content Creation and Great presentation skills are wanted.
  • Investment input (roadmap, acquisitions, etc.)
  • Ecosystem Partnerships

What We Are Looking For:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Logistics or Logistics Service Provider space, with a focus on industry-specific strategies. Experience in the software space, consulting with demonstrated success will also be considered.
  • Exposure to Transportation, Warehousing, Automation and Fourth Party Logistics models is highly Preferred.
  • Previous experience selecting or us Tier 1 Command Centers, WMS, TMS and Platform is desired.
  • Former P-L experience, operations, consulting and framework design partnered with sales methodology experience is preferred.
  • A self-starter, who can hit the ground running and is accountable to do-say culture is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand complex industry trends and drivers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships and influence key industry stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results
  • Experience in a team-based selling environment.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, communication and negotiation skills.

The salary range for this position is $168,875.90 USDto $200,124.09 USD.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
