Job Summary The SBA Loan Officer (LO) is responsible for developing a plan to maintain and grow both internal partnerships with Business Banking (BB) and Commercial Lending (CL) Relationship Managers (RM's) and external referral sources in an effort to maintain and grow existing clients and develop new relationships that meet our client selectivity and risk appetite. The SBA LO has had proven success in winning new relationships (credit and non-credit) and negotiating SBA 7a terms with minimal assistance. LO's, in partnership with RM's, will be expected to work with the appropriate banking colleagues (Loan Coordinators, Credit Analysts) to deliver credit relationships with the guidance of Credit Administration, and SBA Program Manager. This position will not manage relationships but will assist RM's in those general efforts. Along with the key functions listed below, this position will be expected to uphold the value that WaFd Bank places on simply being kind when working alongside colleagues and servicing our clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
