Description Acara Solutions is seeking a
Material Logistics Specialist to work with our client in Irving, TX.
Pay: $30/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm (Hybrid work schedule- 3 days in office/2 days remote)
Job Type: Contract - Direct hire
Overview
This role will be responsible for planning, scheduling and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle; determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
Job Description
- Supports in monitoring the movement of standard materials through the production cycle.
- Advises in the preparation and maintenance of semi-complex reports; analyzes supplier capability; participates in make/buy studies and cost analyses.
- Supports creating integrated project plans and schedules for the supply team's capital and development projects.
- Supports the evaluation effectiveness of current material control standards.
- Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work.
- Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others.
- Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.
Important Capabilities:
Job Requirements Qualifications
- BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification may be required in some areas.
- Demonstrates a basic knowledge of professional principles and skills.
- Effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
- Typically up to 2 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key
