LOCATION: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and may be assigned to any Consumers Energy Service Center located throughout Michigan's lower Peninsula. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify). GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Pipeline Safety Management System Director is responsible for the development, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the company's Pipeline Safety Management System (PSMS) in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) RP 1173 and industry consensus standards. This position will partner with internal stakeholders in addition to leading individual element owners to advance PSMS programs and apply Plan-Do-Check-Act type management processes to ensure effective governance and widespread conformance across the entire organization. The position will also regularly evaluate the progress of the company's PSMS programs relative to industry peers and drive maturity and continuous improvement of the PSMS. This role reports regularly to the Executive team, including the CEO, and leads stakeholder engagement while partnering with electric, supply, and corporate safety on an enterprise program.
